Casino Blue Chip Comped cabin question

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I have a question for those that have sailed on the Celebrity Eclipse and have had this situation.

My husband and I each earned a blue chip comped cabin and we are bringing friends with us. We had to book each of us (hubby and I) in separate rooms along with one of our friends. I understand that process as we have done it before when we brought another couple with us. However, we have not had this situation before because both cabins were the same class. This time one is a balcony and one is a suite.

I know this has to be done through guest services once onboard….

My questions is have you had experience in getting your spouse moved to your room (with a new seapass that matches the cabin) AND receive benefits of that cabin (example, suite, aqua/Blu,)? And if so, was it an easy process or frustrating?

I know they do not care where you sleep just wondering if they will give my spouse a sea pass card that matches the suite and NOT just a key to open the door. Hope this makes sense…

Thanks!

No,the benefits of the cabin stay with the booked passenger,so you cannot transfer the suit benefits from your friend to your husband.

Can you switch cabin names once onboard when cabins are in the same category? For instance, if my husband and I each book a comped cabin and have a friend booked with one of us, once onboard can we switch names to move my husband and I into the same cabin and have our friend in the second cabin solo?

I don't see that as a possibility since you'd be switching out the primary passenger and also the passenger that was granted the comped cabin. Easier just to get duplicate room cards and label the new cards as cabin access only, and use the original card for everything else.

Oh, so at any time you can get a duplicate card for your cabin to say give your family access?

Yes, so you would go to Guest Relations and ask for duplicate cards just for room access since the four of you are traveling together and want to access each others rooms. We did this on the Solstice. As I wrote to make things easier we labeled the new cards as room access only so you don't get confused which ard is which. When getting drinks, coffee at Al Bacio, getting off the ship, etc you use your original cards.
