KOS Posted April 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2006 This is a big time newbie question so let me start off by apologizing but....why are the rooms on the higher decks more expensive. We booked a guaranteed cabin, and were placed on the Upper Deck of the Fanatsy. Thanks! 56 days till our first cruise:) KOS
cruisinbuddy Posted April 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2006 I guess they're considered more luxurious, even though they're the same size as the rest, except for the suites of course.
Cotton Posted April 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2006  Maybe because they're closer to the 'action'...? I've had cabins on every deck except Riveria, and I haven't found any difference. Everything is easily accessible - short elevator ride to any deck. The only important thing to me is that I get an outside cabin - usually portholes, so I don't care which deck I'm on. Bunkie103 Posted April 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2006 You did well. I believe the Upper deck on the Fantasy is between two decks of rooms and not over or under a busy area. We were on the Upper deck on the Sensation and it was great! Enjoy!
Cuizer2 Posted April 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 9, 2006 The higher you go the more the cabin costs, just because you are closer to the action, even though the rooms are the same size. This does not apply to suites (the cat 11 suites are higher than the cat 12 suites, but the cat 12 suites cost more).
