Pilgrim Pete Posted April 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2006 Hi, we are booked in an FO stateroom on the Galaxy in August 2006, and I have read on these boards there is a noticable vibration at the stern. Could someone please update me.
janrj7 Posted April 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2006 Pete, we were in 8247 (very near the stern) this month. We did notice vibration and noise when we were docking and leaving the docks, but not when we were underway. It really wasn't bad at all. Have a great trip. Galaxy is a wonderful ship! julieanne Posted April 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2006 There is always noticeable vibration in the stern. When docking and leaving port, the thrusters will cause vibration. In heavy seas, you can get some vibration when the screws come out of the water. No big deal.... ;)

subwaysigns Posted April 30, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2006 just did an 11 nighter on the galaxy to panama. vibration felt in room (12 floor) when docking. but we also felt it at the orion restaurant, which was odd. and it varied depending on the seating. we felt it more in the tables near the rear of the restaurant (naturally), but those tables offered the best views. for dinner nights we had our regular table near the front of the restaurant and hardly felt the vibration.
