How Early Can You Get Off Glory In St.thomas?

Recommended Posts

On our GLORY cruise a month ago, we were able to get off at 9:45am, immediately after immigration. We, too, had booked a 10am tour with Godfrey. There were 5 cruise ships in port at the same time, so traffic was really bad and he didn't show up until 10:30. This cut an hour off our shopping part of the tour. By the time we left the port (had to wait on passengers from other ships), our shopping ended up being about 45-min.

The tour itself (Tour #1) was well worth the $25pp. Other than the short shopping stop, the rest was very informative and exciting. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Make sure you book through the ship if you are planning on getting off early. We had a private excursion planned on St. Thomas - a daysail which was wonderful by the way. We had to wait till our deck was called. It was after 1 pm before we got off the ship. Anyone who books through Carnival gets off first, worth paying a bit more for the excursion in this case I believe. Our daysail wasn't even offered through the ship (maximum 6 people, so it's impossible), so we were stuck.
