Princess count as Carnival Cruise?

Hello, we just came back from our second Carnival Cruise. We loved it, but we are thinking of trying Princess next year. Since Princess and Carnival are affiliated with th same company, does taking a Princess cruise count towards platinum status on Carnival? I hope this makes sense to somebody.:o

from everything I have heard it doesn't count. I wish it went back and forth like that....cause I would try something different.

The only thing it counts for is that Carnival will give you past passenger pricing if you have cruised Princess and give them your Captains Circle number. Other than that, it doesn't count.

It does not. The only thing I have found across the fleet is the sharholder's credit applied to each cruise. A shareholder in Carnival stock has interest in all the ship's lines.
