CaneCruiser Posted May 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2006 We will be in Vancouver 1 day before our cruise. The choice is between Sutton Place and Pan Pacific. Which would you choose and why? Also how far is the Pan Pacific from Robson Street and shopping? Thanks
obrayddd Posted May 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2006 Although both hotels are great the Pan Pacific is directly above the cruise ship terminal and has great views of the harbour. Robson Street about five blocks south of the cruise ship terminal but two blocks of it are the Pacific Center indoor mall if you like to shop. grouchy Posted May 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2006 block from Robson Street and a fabulous place. You are also right across the street from Don Fransesco-one of the best places to eat. The Sutton place has a great Lounge where star hang out. Met Tom Selleck,Goldie Hawn and Robin Williams there! I love the service amd ambience. BCHappyGal Posted May 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2006 My choice would be the Pan Pacific - have stayed there twice and I am a local! It is a fabulous hotel with great service and views views views!!! Plus you can watch your cruise ship sail into the dock from your room. You are 2 blocks from Gas Town with lots of souvenir shopping and restaurants or a block from 2 malls and if you want to walk up to the big Pacific Centre Mall it is about 5 blocks away. You have a great outdoor walk all around Canada Place overlooking our harbour, Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains. I would definitely go for the Pan Pacific over Sutton Place although both are great hotels.
