Are you writing a travel book?...here's a few:

This website is a little old but it has links to just about everything (listed in alphabetical order) in Cozumel that you can think of...It is the list of links!

Great discussion sites such as

http://www.cozumel-hotels.net/yabbse/

http://wahootours.hyperboards2.com/index.cgi?

Some of the other sites I use frequently include

http://www.gringoguide.com/852569A60006CAC1/AllDocs?openview

http://www.gocozumel.com/

http://www.cozumel-hotels.net/webcam/index.htm

The sites that Bruce mentioned happen to be my own personal favorites...Travelnotes and the CMC site also have great discussion forums.

No, not writing a book. We will be in Cozumel for a week over Christmas. Just looking a different things to do as we will not be limited by time. Thanks for your links.
That is what we have done for the last two years and what we would be doing again this Christmas, but I didn't get to choose this year ;)

Visiting Cozumel for a week is a whole different experience than visiting it for a day while on a cruise. For one, you get to eat at some of the many good and/or interesting restaurants. Even if you are going to stay at an All Inclusive (not my personal choice BTW, unless traveling with kids), it is worth eating in town a couple of nights. If you are there on a Sunday, a day with few, if any, cruise ships, you can enjoy walking around an uncrowded town and in the evening, go to the Plaza. You will also have time to shop at either Chedraui or the San Francisco supermarket back on 30th (I think it is).

If you don't already have the Cozumel map from http://www.cancunmap.com, it is definitely worth the $8 they ask for it.

Bruce...I am soooo jealous! No matter how much time I spend down there, and I spend alot ....the one week I can't do is Christmas. I would love to be there for services on Christmas Eve and the Posadas leading up to Christmas day.

Gwhizma...love that name...have a great time researching...Cozumel is a great place to just kick back and take it slow!

Several years ago our entire family (22 of us) were down for one week...The age range was 9-72 ...everyone enjoyed the beaches and pools.

With the teens and older kids ...the hits were snorkel tours, wind surfing, mini golf.... a few did an "intro to scuba" tour and went diving that afternoon. She had it videotaped so we all got to watch them have so much fun.

Sunday in the Plaza is alot of fun....weather permitting, there is live music, dancing and great people watching.

Some of the kids were a little fussy when it came to food...restaurants such as Tony Rome's Embassy, Sonora Grill, and Las Palmeras all offered them food that appealled to them. Some of the younger adults enjoyed Carlos and Charlies...but watch out...that bar tab can add up quickly, as they found out.

While I don't endorse it, the Dolphin encounter was a great hit with the 8-14 year olds. At the hotel, we hardly saw them once they met up with other kids.

If you have a rainy day, hopefully not though, there is the museum, movies (in English with Sp. subtitles) and a bowling alley.

Cozumel is very family friendly and has much to offer.

Actually, it has been the week immediately before Christmas. The kids always insist on being home for Christmas day. Definitely next time we will stay for longer than a week.

Mini-golf is good.

Sonora Grill is good.

I wish Especias was open when I was there, that is definitely on my must eat at list.

My friend Christi, who owns Blue XTSea diving has a helpful page on her website with Cozumel insites. Her Restaurant is especially helpful.

Damn, I wish I was there right now.

Staying more than a week will spoil you...When you can spread out your activities it is amazing just how much you relax. I always need a few days to just unwind and one week just doesn't do it!

I love Especias , Adrian is a great host and chef...he makes everyone feel so special. The new location looks like it has a few more table than the old one...You have to try his shrimp in bacon, the cheese pot and any of his fresh fish of the day.

Which restaurant does Christi have? I have heard wonderful things about Blue XT...can't dive anymore and miss it ! I enjoy my snorkeling though.

Sounds like you have a chronic case of "Cozumelitis"!

Bruce left out one word in his post, "list". Christi has a restaurant LIST on her website, she doesn't have a restaurant. It's a great place to start when researching where to enjoy a great meal or two!

Just want to also emphasize that the website of Cozumel links that Cozgal posted is really old. Some of the links won't take you anywhere. Some will take you to a website of a place that no longer exists. You'll have to double check whatever you find through that site.

Enjoy!

Thanks Sally, for adding that note of caution, I have used it but then again, I automatically double and triple check everything anyway....

Some of the links work and are good, I just ignore the ones that don't.

Hmmm..if it is that old, then I've been using it longer than I thought...does that mean I got older too?:(

Thanks Sally. I really need to do a better job of proof reading. I did mean to have the word list in there.
