I had a donair for the first time the other day and it turned out to be the Canadian version of the Greek Gyro you get in the states. The sauce seemed a bit sweeter, but otherwise it was pretty much a gyro.

There is also a great coffee place, kind of like a Starbucks. I can't think of the name but it had a fellows name. I think he is a hockey player. Anyone help me out?

Tim Hortons would be the Coffee place. He played for Toronto and Buffalo.

Was killed back late 60's early 70's while driving back to Toronto from a game in Buffalo. Must be at least 30-40 Tim Hortons in the Halifax-Dartmouth area.
