mariakitty Posted June 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2004 After sailing NCL two weeks ago I was shocked at the prices for Internet access and found myself going to Internet cafes in port for a substantially reduced price. Does anyone know which cruise lines has generally the lowest Internet access prices? I am interested not in laptop access from my cabin, but also access from the ship's Internet cafe. As a reference, NCL Spirit rates ranged from $.50 to $.70/minute based on the number of minutes you purchased. The cheapest package was 20 minutes. I guess I find these prices out of line since I get unlimited broadband for $30 a month. I expect higher prices aboard ship, but even $.50/minute is outrageous! BaumD Posted June 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2004 I know RCCL is $.50 also and some lines are as much as $.75. It's the same as the $1.29 tube of tootpaste in the ships shop that they sell for $4.00. You're in the middle of the ocean, they got you......
