Charge for Spa Pool - can it be prebooked?

Since I understand that on the Star they're now charging to use the Spa pools ($60/week according to what has been posted) and that they're limiting the number of passengers that are allowed to purchase this amenity, does anyone know if it can be booked and paid for ahead of time?

No I don't think so and a doubt they will ever reach the "limit"

Hi Shoreguy, do u know if this charge is just on the Alaska Cruise or are they charging for the Spa on the Mexican Rivera cruise also ???

They did not charge in Feb on the Dawn either but do now when it is warm. The Jewel has had the same fee every cruise since the first. Unless NCL changes their mind do to no increase in revenue and an excess of complaints, I would expect the charge to stay in place year round:(

 

NCL tried this once before a couple years ago on the Dawn and backed off after a month.

 

With the price of fuel, the fact NCL lost $20M in Q1, I think this will stick. Even if they don't make much money it may let them reduce staff with the decrease in demand of the facility.
