Room Size?

Carnival Liberty.....Does a balcony room take away space from a normal oceanview room?

Before you answer consider that it will be one adult (me) and 2 teens 16 (over 6ft tall) and 15 (5'7 and chunky)

The answer to you question is YES. The balcony is counted in the square footage of the room. So therefore if the oceanview is the same square footage as the balcony ( and I believe it is) then the room is smaller. The ship is the same width no matter if it's a oceanview deck or a balcony deck. Oceanview cabins are 225 sq ft, and balcony cabins are 185 with a 40 sq ft balcony.

You still may consider it. It would allow one or two of you to escape to another section outside when people are getting ready.
