Corfu Question

Has anyone been to Corfu, Greece? We are on the Noordan Roman Empire July 30 sailing and are not sure if we need a tour or not. The island seems small and easy to get around but don't want to miss anything of importance. We are booked on Leisurely Corfu and would like to hear any input on this. Thanks.

There are some significant Greek/Roman ruins...the highlight for us however was seeing the Canal....A simple Taxi ride from the ship.
