Whale Watching In Late August

I've read so many great things about the whale watching trip out of Juneau, but I'm wondering if there will still be whale activity the last week of August. Has anyone taken this trip that late in the year and were there any whales to be seen? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

We are also going to Alaska the end of August and plan to whale watch in Juno so we'd also like to know if we will see any whales. Cool Cruiser, any chance we are on the same cruise. We are going on the Norweigan Sun departing Saturday, August 26. :)

Absolutely, whales are in Auke Bay through the cruise season. In fact, Sitka has their "Whale Fest" first weekend of Nov.
