allpak1 Posted June 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2006 I've read so many great things about the whale watching trip out of Juneau, but I'm wondering if there will still be whale activity the last week of August. Has anyone taken this trip that late in the year and were there any whales to be seen? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Giraffe at Sea Posted June 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2006 We are also going to Alaska the end of August and plan to whale watch in Juno so we'd also like to know if we will see any whales. Cool Cruiser, any chance we are on the same cruise. We are going on the Norweigan Sun departing Saturday, August 26. :)
Budget Queen Posted June 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Absolutely, whales are in Auke Bay through the cruise season. In fact, Sitka has their "Whale Fest" first weekend of Nov.
allpak1 Posted June 28, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Thanks Budget Queen. That's good info. Sorry, Giraffe, we'll be sailing on Vision of the Seas departing Aug. 25th. It'll be here before we know it!! Enjoy
