We have always done a one way car rental.this way you will have use of a car while you are there and the rental car company will shuttle you to and from the port.On your return you can also do the one way rental back to the airport it should be cheaper than the cruise shuttle.

Alot of people go with Art's shuttle. But I recommend the above, to rent a car and drop it off at the port, and take their shuttle to the ship. We did this in May through Budget and had a mid-size car for $21.00. Going back it was more expensive, about $41.00 but still a good value for the four of us. I found a discount code online and that helped. The whole process was fast and easy and will be what we do again in the future.
