Is Boatyard appropriate for young children - or just too much of a party beach?

Sorry if this is already posted. I posted this question earlier and for some reason it dodn't go through - having lots of problems since new format! My question was/is: We will be on the Destiny in Janaury and have heard so much about Boatyard. Is it a "party" beach during the day., i.e. lots of drinking, etc? Would it be o.k. for young children?

The Boatyard is an ok beach I guess. I wasn't that impressed with it. We were there, during the afternoon, with a group of 8 with two of those being kids. I would have rather we went to one of the gold coast beaches I had picked out. The cab driver that gave us a tour recommended Boatyard instead. As far as beaches go I guess kids will like it. There is a water trampoline you can use for a $5 fee. There are also jet skis for rental. The water was a bit murky and not as pristine as so many of the Caribbean beaches are. It wasn't a total bummer but I would not go back there again.
