Thank you for responding to my question about the suite. The TA did have the suite you were in reserved. I took your advice and looked into the family suites and we now have 2 of those reserved. They are category AF with 2 separate bedromms. I think the adults will be much more comfortable with their own bedrooms and the 10 yr old will sleep on the sofa bed.

Thanks for your review Scotland. Although we're not staying in a suite, we are really looking forward to our cruise in Oct.

It seems you made reservations in the non-specialty restaurants as well as the specialty restaurants, is this true?

Thanks for your help ..

When in October?? We're on for the 21st!!!!

Hi Scotland!

Thank you for the wonderfully thought out review.

I am planning a trip with our family of 7 adults and 1 10 yr old boy. Our TA has recommended adjoining Penthouse Suites on Deck 10. The descriptions I have read alternately say "separate bedrooms" and "curtained bedroom". Can you shed some light on what the suite's sleeping arrangements are?

How do you think they would do for 2 couples and a 10 yr old in one suite and one couple and a grandmother in the adjoining suite as far a sleeping arrangments?

[We are all immediate family, but still everyone could use some time alone to just relax.]

Do you think the bulter and conceirge services was worth the higher suite prices?

BTW - Our last big family vacation was 9 days in Scotland and it was really one of the highlights of our travels. It was an amazing trip.

Thanks so much!

The suite we were in on deck 10 - 10012 would not accommodate

4 adults and 1 child. 3/4 maximum would be fine for this room.

Our suite only had a curtain to pull between the sofa bed and the

other bed. Also there was an adjoining door to another room so

this may be the rooms your TA recommends.

There is a family deluxe suite which has 2 bedrooms and a separate

lounge, this one would be better for the 4 adults and 1 child.

Only if your grandmother liked having a curtain to separate the

sleeping arrangements would I recommend you getting the AD suite

we had.

No, the butler and concierge service did not justify the higher price,

what did justify it was the larger room so that 3 of us could share,

plus a large balcony so that we had further outside space. The

butler and concierge were an added bonus for us.

Three couples are cruising in just a few days. Leaving July 15. The wives have done all of the planning and we are down to planning what times to book restaurants. Your post has helped very much but need to know when are the shows? Thank you!!!!

The shows are at 7.30pm and repeated at 9.30pm.

Enjoy your trip.
