San Diego Airport

My husband and I are booked on the Apr 28, 2007 Radiance of the Seas 14 day Hawaiian cruise leaving from San Diego.

 

Does anyone know:

 

1. how close is the airport to the pier?

 

2. brochure says ship docks at 7am at the end of the cruise: we will have priority disembarkation since we are diamond members, can we make a flight which departs at 11:44 AM.

 

3. how much is cab fare from the airport to the ship?

The airport is 10 blocks from the pier!

11:44 is doable. (usual caveats, but this year's cruise was completely "debarked" by 10:45 and those were just the stragglers!)

Cab fare minimal.

Hope you can spend some time here before your cruise!

San Diego's airport is maybe 10 minutes max from the pier, if there is traffic. In fact, try to get seats on the left side of the plane for the flight into San Diego and you might be able to catch a view of the pier as you land.

 

One thing about San Diego's airport though, lines for security can be long. If you are on an airline where you can check in online before you get to the airport, I would recommend doing that to save some time once you get to the airport.

 

San Diego is a beautiful city and I hope you are getting to spend some time there to see the city.

Taxi fare will be $10 - $15 max. The cruiseline transfers are a total ripoff.:)
