Arriving back in Miami -what to do before flight

I'm going on the 7 day cruise from Miami on the Carnival Valor departing 9/3/06. I believe we return to Miami around 8 or 9 am, but our flight from Miami back home doesn't leave until 5 in the afternoon. Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about what my friend and I can do after the cruise besides heading straight to the airport. The problem is that we would have no car of our own and would be carrying lots of luggage.

Most cruise lines provide a tour for those leaving late in the afternoon, early evening including an Everglades Airboat tour. You get your luggage and put it on the bus. After the tour they drop you off at the airport. I am not sure what Carnival charges but there are several tours to chose from, you can not pre-book these. Book on board once you get there.

I took a free rental shuttle to the AP rented a car for the day & stored my luggage there. Then we went to the zoo.
