Shopping question

What kind of shopping can we expect in playa del carmen?

There is a lot of shopping to be had in PDC. We were just there recently on a trip and we felt overwhelmed by all the different shops they have (silver, tequila, t-shirts, hanging shell lamps & other unique shops). Just as a personal preference, I liked the shops on the north end of 5th Av. There is also a little street off 5th called Calle Corazon that is between 12th & 14th St. They have a really nice shop that sells hand made soaps and other "scentables" called Botanicus(very nice!). Any other questions, just ask!:)

Sorry I can't help you with that question, I did not notice any purses while I was shopping. But that doesn't mean they are not there. I did not make it in the shopping mall near the pier on Juarez & 5th. They may have some stores like that. I know someone had mentioned some actual "designer" stores but I must have missed them.
