Cruise Junky Posted July 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2004 Hi - how late can you cancel a ships Shore Excursion without being penalized? With the general transportation strike in Italy today, it might not be a bad idea to have back up plans. Thanks
gypsygirl Posted July 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2004 We cancelled a shore excursion two weeks before sailed. We had put it on our credit card. The following month's statement showed it taken off. No problem.
madforcruising Posted July 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2004 If you are purchasing excursions online you can make any changes or cancellations up to 10 days prior to the cruise online. After this deadline you can´t do it online anymore. However you still can cancel or change your excursions onboard. I think the time frame for cancellations onboard is somewhere between 24 - 48 hours prior the day of the tour. The cancellation and booking deadlines are listed in the cruise compass. If you choose to book online in advance, don´t worry if you change your mind. It happened to me and it was no problem at all. Just show up at the shore excursion desk and they cancel or change your tours. The cancelled tours are credited to your onboard account (even if they have been prepaid prior to the cruise the refund goes to your onboard account).
