Just Back-Glory July 29-Aug.5

We just got back from the Glory also, and I posted a review on the member reviews.

I would agree with the review in this thread, but we didn't run into too many kids. The ones we did see were usually with a Camp Carnival group and seemed to be having a good time and well behaved.

This may have something to do with our cabin, which was on Panorama deck, where we had one of only two quad cabins on the entire deck.

Anyway, we didn't have any kid problems.

The Member Review's seem to take a bit of time to be posted.

I had a cabin on the Panorama Deck as well and thought it was AWESOME ( A balcony). :) I would definetly go that route again if I was sailing with a S.O. (3 out of 4 of my cruises I was solo or at least solo adult)

To Helen.....thank you for your review!! I am still always looking for a Glory Fix!!

I loved Costa Maya and our day in Majahual!! I did not get to visit Cozumel when I sailed on the Glory but I have been there as a cruise port before as well as land vacays and with kids I think that Paradise Beach is great. We actually had very good food and service there last year. WOW! that is really sad about the glass and the cut hand! I did not see anything like that on the Glory but I sailed during off-peak time.

Ha StiVo you beat me to it!!! Isn't Bob awesome? lol can't wait for 9/9!!!

The Ivory bar is a cigar bar Helen so they probably wouldn't make that a teen place at night, but wasn't there a teen disco or something? We sailed in February last time and there were no kids that I can remember.

Also if you guys like fine dining the Emerald room is well worth the 30.00 dollar a person charge, it's excellent food and wonderful service.

We never saw anything broke or left laying around when we were on, however, even in the finest hotels you will see where people break things or leave things laying around, the staff are human and can't be all knowing , all seeing. I guess I'd be more upset that the person that broke the glass didn't at least call the desk and give them a heads up so no one would get cut.

Cheers everyone and happy sailing

EKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK where did Bob come from, please forgive me I was tireeeeeeeeeeed I meant Jim of course:o

We had the other quad cabin on the Panorama deck on this sailing! The only time we had problems with kids was late evenings (10pm - midnight) when the pre teens were running wild chasing each other around the ship and using language that I was embarrassed to let my children hear. They really need some activities for the 13-17 year olds later into the night.

its called Sleep.

haha j/k

I don't think thats funny, I think it's true!! Kids SHOULD be in bed late nights and parents letting young teens run around the ship unsupervised is how young teens get raped, drunk, fall overboard, etc on cruiseships and then the cruise lines get beat up for it, go figure............ I'd not let my young teen run around the streets of any vacation spot I go to late at night, why would I let them run around a cruiseship holding thousands of other(some drunk) people. Opps here I go being "opinionated" again

I think you called it right clayfu!!!

That was my point about the kids at night. After 10:30 they were banned from the disco so they were just hanging out and running around. Didn't bother me but having a 16 yr. old myself I felt that if you were going to allow them out late there should be a designated place for them to be, not just bunched up in huge groups outside of the casino or running through the decks. We always made sure our son was in his room when late (not to say he couldn't have sneeked out). There were several security guards on deck 5 but seemed to be there to make sure they didn't go into the disco after 10:30.

Did anyone else think the singer outside the casino was pretty good. Considering there was no piano singer I enjoyed him but he was drowned out at night between the casino and the kids hanging out .
