Rccl Going To Grand Turk

Our cruise itinerary was just changed from Ochos Rios to Grand Turk. Heard this was not a normal stop for the RCCL cruises, so hope to find it a nice stop.

APBJ = Any Place But Jamaica! Nasty island, overly aggressive sales people, dirty and poor, feels completely unsafe, horrible hateful people. I wouldn't leave the dock area if I had children with me, I'd fear for their safety. If you go expect people in your face the whole time, many offers of drugs and other illegal things, no peace and quiet on the beach. My only regret is ever having been there. The only good thing about the place is the landscape looks pretty from the the ship if you stay onboard.

 

I'll be in Grand Turk in 4 weeks, looks like it will be mostly a beach day. The ship docks at a complex with a huge pool and beach at the end of the pier. hear the diving is amazing, and the island is small enough that the ride into town doesn't cost too much. Doesn't look like much to do on the island itself, but it does seem like a nice restful place to stop.
