bbshopbass Posted July 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2004 I've read a lot of posts about the chair hog situation around the pools (and happily about the recent enforcement!). I like to sit in a quiet area away from the crowds at the pool and the noise of the steel drums (love the Caribbean weather but hate the music). Are deck chairs readily available in more remote areas of the Mariner deck?
maxxboy Posted July 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2004 Yes, there should be lounge chairs away from the pool. That's what I go for and never have a problem getting one.
footer6 Posted July 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Just back from Mariner. There are plenty of deck chairs away from the crowds. Just go out the door near the Deck 4 restaurant and head aft. When you get to a narrow teak deck area keep going and you will reach an area with many unoccupied deck chairs. On our first sea day with almost 3,600 passengers aboard I had about 30 chairs all to myself, I had a great ocean view and I couldn't even hear the steel band music from the Deck 11 pool area. A great place to read a book or just relax.
