Formal Night on 3 day Sovereign?

I've concluded it's Saturday night, when ship is in Nassau? Why do they even bother with a formal night on the three day cruises?

On a 3 night Formal Night is always on the second night. It's still fun to dress up no matter how short the cruise :D

We did the 4 day--our formal was the long port day in Nassau, as well! We did the sightsee thing during the day, changed for dinner, then caught a cab to Atlantis (still in all our finery!) and played at the casino for awhile. We were definitly the best-dressed in the Atlantis Casino that night! Had a great time. Met up with a couple others from the ship, and caught a limo back to port, just in time for our departure!
