It's a little early to ask but..

I have booked a cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas for my daughter and her soon-to-be husband in September of 2007. My husband and I plan to go the week after them. I guess my question is when do the usually set up their entertainment programs and print out the new Cruise Compass for the ship? I am in hopes that somebody who travels on the Rhapsody during the 2007 season can supply a Cruise Compass on this board for the rest of us eager cruisers to peruse. The only one I can find is one from May of 2004...just a bit dated. So anybody out there going next year please remember us land-locked cruisers hungry for something to keep our minds occupied while waiting to board. My cruise is more than a year away and I'm already so excited!!!!! I am so anxious to try RCI and step on board this beautiful ship!

Wow! Good for you...... it seems like forever, but it will be here before you know it.

Go to the "Meet & Mingle" board and start a "Rollcall" if there is not already one. Be Patient. This far out, there may not be posters for that yet, but you could get lucky. "Chatting" to someone who's going on the same cruise will help the anticipation.

The entertainment won't be solid until 30-60 days before your cruise. It changes quite often.

As for the Compass, you should wait at least until next summer to look for one. The Rhapsody has several different iteneraries throughout the year. Check for when your itenerary is consistent.

Are you from Texas? When we cruised Rhapsody (We are from Dallas area) we found out that about 85% of the people on board were from somewhere in Texas. You'll LOVE it.

HOpe This Helps!

How exciting for you guys! I am handicapped/ wife and I are taking our first ever cruise on the Rhapsody on dec. 3...

Please let us know what you think of her...and if you can email us a copy of her compass would be most appreciated! brian43tx@comcast.net

One last...itsy bitsy favor, if you can/think about it...we heard the Rhapsody has handicapped lifts available to her outdoor pool and to transfer a wheelchair user into the tenders? Could you visually verify that for us, and if they are working?

have a great time!

I am handicapped -- use crutches and took a collapsible wheelchair. We cruised on the Rhapsody in 2001 also first week in December. I can't remember tendering anywhere, but your itinerary may be different. In my case, had I not been able to get out of my wheelchair there was plenty of help to get me tendered. There we also several different tender boats, some would be more WC friendly. The weather and sea conditions will also be a factor. As for the outdoor pool lift, it was too cold to do any swimming. They drained the pool everynight and refilled with ocean water. Overall I didn't have any trouble getting around in a wheelchair on the Rhapsody. This is from the website:

Services Provided:

Early boarding.con_bulletgray_ico.gifCruise transfers utilizing a specialized van with lift.

Boarding and departure assistance.

Scooter access.

Hydraulic lifts for one pool and one Jacuzzi on each ship in the fleet.

Accessible tender system available fleet-wide in November 2006.Accessible Blackjack tables in the casino

Accessible Guest Relations Desk

Deck plans that show accessible paths of travel.

I just searched the website for handicap access.

I really like RCCL, everyone is always very friendly and helpful. You'll have a wonderful time on the cruise.

Yes, if nobody else posts the Cruise Compass for the 2007 Season for the Rhapsody I will try to do it.

CruisinOnWheels, hope you caught the answers you required from alongcamejones. I will have to check out the roll calls, there might be one already started. :D
