Halloween Costumes?

Having never cruised on Halloween before, some in our party have been asking if people don costumes on Halloween night? (Assuming it's not a formal night):confused:

We were on Celebrity for one Halloween and dress for the evening was informal (jacket and tie for men) or Halloween costume. They had a Halloween party with a costume contest in one of the lounges after the late seating.

With the costumes come in a bag, it doesn't take much room or weight to pack them.

I was on the Volendam on Halloween, once, and Holland America did the same kind of thing. The ship was nicely decorated for Halloween, and we even had a Halloween-themed menu in the Dining Room that night. It was a fun evening!

Two years ago we were on a ship for halloween. It was an absolute blast. The kids trick or treated through the ship, with a big party at the end. The adults had a costume party and contest. We were two couples and had those costumes that blow up with a little fan inside. They were a hit, won 2nd place.

Thanks to all of you for the information. Our group are all old retired people, and have not been to a costume party in over 30 years,we ar going to bring on board at least some masks in our luggage.:)
