Amerisuites vs. Holiday Inn Express

We are staying in Ft. Lauderdale for 2 nights post cruise in Nov. 2006. We want to be in the 17th Street/ Los Olas Blvd. area. Which of these two properties do you think would be best?

Hi, Amerisuites is about a block down from 17th Street.

I have stayed there twice and will be again in December:)

You can walk up to the corner and see many choices of restaurants and

shops.

Holiday Inn is around the corner. I have passed it many times on

my way to Amersuites (in the cab).

 

As for Las Olas Blvd~that is not (in my opinion) close enough

from either place you mentioned to walk to...the water taxi or

a cab ride is your best bet to get to Las Olas Blvd.

We booked for Dec. 22 with Value trips. The room is $75. They pick you up at the airport and take you to the ship. PH

We have booked Amerisuites for November, but I have read mixed reviews of this hotel. Can anyone who has stayed there recently please give me an updated report on the condition of this property before we make our final decision to stay there. Thanks.
