Location of Ports

Recommended Posts

Oslo, click on the panoramic picture at the bottom, and you will be surprised. It is just as it shows in the animated picture next to the fortress

Copenhagen, you can take bus 26 right in front on the ship to town as in this link. Port is Langelinie

Stockholm, port is Stadsgarden 165/167. It is a 30 min walk to old town. I personally prefer taking the shuttle bus there

Helsinki, check this link with the schedule/quay code. I would take shuttle bus there too

In Helsinki the larger cruise ships (Which Jewel definitely is) dock at the Hernesaari pier, which is the southern most point in central Helsinki... It's about two miles from the city centre (half of which is industrial area), and you can reach the centre from there either by the shuttle bus or the public bus #16 which leaves a few hundred yards from the pier.

This map shows the docking point (1), the bus stop for the public bus (2), and the drop off point for the shuttle bus which is also the point where you can get off the public bus (3).

Thanks for the info on the ports. In general, how do I find this information?

Find some time and keep searching this forum, related links (tourism info websites of each city), tripadvisor dot com and so on. One thing helps plan everything, is when buying the Oslocard/Copenhagen Card/Stockholm card,... before travel. Have them mailed to your home, they will arrive with detailed guides including transportation maps and attractions list. Those can also be found on web, but the printed ones are also cute and handy.
