Ft. Lauderdale Atlantic Hotel - Restaurants Et Al...

I must thank Bequia for her recommendation for a FLL hotel next month - we went ahead and booked the Atlantic with SPG points. Mapquest isn't helping a lot though in terms of the area and I'm wondering

a) Where would we access the water taxi from the Atlantic and

b) Are there good restaurants in the vicinity?

c) Is there a directory on-line which will help with this area?

 

On other pre-cruises, we've tended to stay at the Pier 66 and Mariott Marina and aren't familiar with this end of town.
