Venice - transfer, please?

Recommended Posts

If your cruise line offers a transfer I would suggest using it if your ship docks the day before you fly out and you spend that night in Venice. When we were there in 2003 they started taking people to the airport at 4 AM or so in the morning for flights as early as 7:30 AM.

Have a great next cruise.

My plane departs at 10:05 a.m. from Venice. What's the best way to get to the airport from the ship? Should I pre-arrange taxi? Thanks!

Probably...though a shame you're not spending some extra time in Venice...

If you want the cheap route, you take the free shuttle (most cruise lines offer one) to Piazzale Roma and hop on the #5 bus...They come every half hour or so and take about a half hour to get to the airport...but, with a 10:05, that may be cutting it close...

Safest is to pre-arrange a taxi at the pier...
