I would appreciate it if I could know if there are "good" tables that seat 8 people in the upper level on the Zuiderdam. I will be eating with my family (total of four), and I requested and was confirmed for the main upper (8:00pm) dinning for a table of 8 on 07-31-04. Does anyone know "good" table number near a window in the upper level? Thanks for helping me!:) ;) :) ;)

Carol (Jazzsea) - Thank you for your offer regarding the table plans. There are six of us on the Volendam and have requested a table for six, upper level 8pm sitting. We are only second-time cruisers with HAL. The first time we were on a table for eight, lower level and were near the door. Although it did not matter too much at the time because we were in good company, the table position was a little disappointing. I love to talk AND people-watch AND to watch the scenery, but in late November/early December I don't suppose there will be much scenery to watch in the dark.

Would you please check out the table plans and suggest a table number, based on the above info. I promise we will like it! LOL.

The lower level has wake windows with a fabulous view. The upper level is on the Promenade deck so the joggers can watch you eat. View is OK, though.

The quartet plays on a platform halfway between the levels.
