Soufriere's 'Champagne' hot springs

While in Dominica i would like to see the above (can i take a 'soak' in the hot springs?) and also visit a fruit stand. Besides my wife and I, we'll have our under 2 years old daughter with us, so any long hike isn't feasible.

How far are the 'champagne' hot springs (or some other hot springs) from the dock? How much should i expect a taxi to cost? Is there a tour that covers the above (and not a whole lot more... although i haven't ruled anything out and could be 'sold' on the idea of a more extensive tour, but all-day tours aren't really our style)

Thanks.

From everything I have read on this board, the I don't think the Champagne Springs is doable with a 2 year old. Those that have done it by entering the water from land say it is very rocky getting to the water.

I don't think you really "soak" in the Champagne springs. It is in the ocean and most tours snorkel there.
