Mariner Murder Mystery!

My husband was reading some old Compasses and came across the "MURDER MYSTERY DINNER" at Portifino's.

 

Has anyone done this on the Mariner?

 

What day is it - Embarkation day or First day at Sea (1st Formal nite)?

 

Did you enjoy it and would you try it again?

Just an update after 4 phone calls to RCCL I got someone who knew!

 

Because our sailing is a Holiday sailing - Thanksgiving - there will be NO Mystery Dinner Theater.

I would double check this to be sure. Ii is held the first eveing. Unless the departure date is the holiday, I would think they would still have it. Just pop by Portifinos when you board and ask. It is $49 per person.

We will be going on the Mariner in May. This is the first I have read about the dinner. Can someone give me a little more info please?

I had no idea either. My husband who we will refer to as "CLARK GRISWALD" - tends to like to plan every minute. He was reading some recent compasses and saw the Murder Mystery Dinner. And wanted to try it - so I did a search on here and found that it starts out at one of the lounges and has a plot of the murder and you try to solve it. I think it ends during dinner in Portifino's.

 

Sounded very different and we really wanted to try it. So I emailed RCCL only to find out that they are not doing it during the holiday sailing. Figures. Just means I'll have to sail Mariner again.

I am going to be going on the Vision of the Seas in Sept.,2007 and they will have a comedy mystery during the cruise. Is this anything like the murder mystery? I would appreciate anybody's input on it before I sign up for it. Thanks:)

Just got off Mariner last week and they had it in Portifino's on the first sea day (Formal Night) We didn't go cause we had already booked Chops for the next night!
