color of socks

I am trying to cut back on number of shoes bring. For travel wearing black jeans, cream colored top and animal print jacked in black, brown and cream - want to wear brown slipons. What color should socks be - black to match jeans, or brown to match shoes?

I don't think I would like the look of black jeans and brown shoes together, so it's hard to recommend sox.

compromise......wear one of each......:) ........and then the next day.......you will have another pair just like the first day.....:D

Depends on the color brown of the shoes. If they're a dark chocolate brown I'd go with a chocolate sock. However, if they're a medium cognac color, then black might be better.

Ahhh, Jane110, I was hoping you would give a more definitive answer :D

 

I've wondered this myself and I know that sometimes I've just worn the wrong shoes because I couldn't figure out what color socks to wear :confused: with the right shoes. I'm sure the wrong shoes are probably worse :rolleyes: .

Thanks Jane - had a feeling you would be the one with the answer. Would usually wear black boots but I hear at the airport they make you take your shoes off - slip ons would be easier for me to deal with. (cane user)
