Questions about Explorer of Seas to Bermuda '07

hi. i'll be on the EOS to bermuda next summer. had a few questions, have not traveled on royal caribbean before.

 

which excursions are recommended? we are particularly interested in snorkeling, swimming, kaying, etc.

 

is there somewhere that we can see recent menus for EOS?

 

what are some fun things that we definitely need to do on the ship?

 

we will be in an inside room on deck 10. will this be overly noisy due to the pool deck above us? is it a comfortable level as far as motion and rocking of the ship?

We were on the Empress last October and one excursion we did was the Hartley's Bell Helmet dive which we totally enjoyed. We saw big and little fish, coral, etc. It was great. Just remember to put your hand in the helmet, pinch your nose, and blow out your ears!!!!!!!!!!! once you get down.

 

The food was pretty good in the dining room. There are many entrees to choose from.

 

As far as on the ship, we enjoyed the shows, bingo, Quest, Love & Marriage Game, Karioke, etc. Lots of stuff to do on the ship.

 

Many people say that this is a smaller, older ship, which it is, but for us, who have only sailed once before on the Grandeur, I would highly recommend the Empress! Enjoy. The ship is well maintained and the crew is fabulous.

Sorry, just realized you were asking about Explorer not Empress (willl be on Explorer next year to Eastern Caribbean), but the bell helmet dive IS a great excursion in Bermuda.

Hi,

 

I did the Explorer to Bermuda in September. We did the Restless Native Catamaran snorkel and it was WONDERFUL!!! The guide was fantastic and we went to one of the best reef I have ever been snorkeling on. It is a pink catamaran and they bake homemade cookies on the boat. Please look in my signature for pictures of the trip and towards the end you will see the catamaran trip.
