clay1234 Posted November 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2006 I was wondering if anyone has taken any pictures of QM2's new bridge wings yet. I am really interested in seeing photos if anyone has had a chance to snap a few.
guernseyguy Posted November 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2006 This head-on view emphasises their appearance: http://view.stern.de/fc/serie/33410/?pos=1 While this oblique view is more a 'spot the difference': http://*****.com/tvpul I guess like all of us - some angles are more flattering than others! OceanLiner Posted November 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2006 And here's how they look from behind: http://www.directupload.net/file/u/8548/FTtl4QG2_jpg.htm http://www.directupload.net/file/u/8548/s8dV2e8b_jpg.htm Peter These are great photos. Regardless of asthetics, they did a very nice job. The paint matches, the lines of the ship seem to match, and everything seems to blend very well. I am amazed that they did this in the sort time that they had her. One thing is for certain, the bridge wings now look like wings!

bobby1119 Posted November 25, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2006 Peter, great set of photos. With the extended wings, they will be able to see how unsightly the ship is all the better. :D Couldn't resist! Such real Queens...Mary with her new implants and Lizzy with her many facelifts! What's a guy to do?

clay1234 Posted November 25, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted November 25, 2006 Thanks guys for the great picture links. I have been working on a 1:400 scale model of the QM2 and have become quite fascinated with the exterior of the ship. The design of that ship is great and they look great (bridge wings) and do not change the over all look of the ship, I might even be able to duplicate them with some plastic and putty on the model. Good work with the links, thanks again.
