getting PADI certified in Nassau

Recommended Posts

I am part way to completing my PADI certification and was told by my instructor here at home (Nova Scotia, Canada) that I can complete my dive requirements in the warm Carribbean Sea instead of the cold Atlantic Ocean. I just have to find a PADI place that will accept my course transfer and can certify me the day I am in Nassau.

Does anyone have any recommendations of who I could contact in Nassau?

Just go to the PADI web site http://www.padi.com, it will list all locations world wide. I did my class room and enclosed water (swimming pool) in Colorado. You will now do 4 dives in 2 days for your open water certification. The dive shops in the Caribbean generally charge about $250. Any PADI dive shop will except your referral.

Virtually any PADI or other dive shop will be happy to take the referral--ie., complete all pool work and written test at home and do the open water dives as described--takes parts of 2 days--some here have done this on a cruise in 2 different stops.

Stuart Cove's, Nassau for example......
