I will be on Celebrity Millennium on 12/31 and it goes to this port.

 

I am looking at the excursions and may go cave exploring, kayaking, or the Bayahibe Beach break.

 

Is there much to do in this port without doing an excursion from the ship. Is the area around the port ok?

 

Any recommendations?

there is nothing around the port.. any of the things you mentioned are worth doing.. if you are docked there at nite do not miss the kandella show.. it is fabulous.. it is a ship's excursion, only if the ship leaves at 11 p.m...
