Days at sea on Dawn..

We were on the Sep 26 cruise (the first one for Dawn this season). There were two bands that seem to alternate -- one a Mexican / Latin band with a lead singer and the other band had a very energetic Filipina lady singer/band leader. Both bands also played at night at the Wheelhouse Lounge. The bands played around noon and then around 4 pm and also at sailaways in the evening. But in talking to the bands we got the impression that the bands were going to change after a few cruises. There were other fun activities -- pool games hilarious to watch, ice carving, etc. /Sultan

Hello , Is there live music on Lido Deck, days at sea? If so, what style?

New site user, any helpful hints? Thanks

Thanks for your information. We will be sailing on Dawn Feb 5-16, 2007 from San Franciso.

DH and I are on the voyage prior to yours (1/25) and will be doing a "live from" thread. We'll be happy to fill you in on all the details of our cruise.

Sailing on the Dawn in just 39 days!

Chris

Thank you everyone !

I am searching for a favorite cruise line, & plan to ask alot of question.

We like the up beat, toe tapping kind of music, during the days at sea.

We have done 5 Carnival cruises, and 1 Holland.

The Carnival's have the fun tropical drink and live music.(We enjoy)

Where as Holland is more bland soft waltzes, and the daily drinks were nothing special. (when we retire)

Where does Princess compare to these? Any other info would be helpful & greatly appreciated.

I need to get my next cruise planned, the stress, is driving me crazy !!!!!

Again -- based on Dawn Princess Sep 26 SF/SF Mex Riviera:

Daytime music on the Riviera Pool Deck was very lively with a good mix of slow / fast / and some ballroom.

There was both live ballroom dance music and disco type music in the Wheelhouse lounge every evening. There were also dancing lessons at 10am every sea day (by a professional dance couple on our cruise) and then each evening there was a dance competition in one on the lounges. There is also a separate lounge with fast faced disco music every evening. /Sultan

Thank you everyone !
