Vancouver Info Appreciated!

Recommended Posts

I'm happy! Just bid on a 4 star hotel in Vancouver on priceline and got the Hilton Metrotown for a total of 67$! Does anyone know what car rentals are at the pier by chance? Or any car rentals near the Amtrak station? We will get a car and stay the night, and take the Amtrak bus back to Seattle the next morn...Just need to drop off the car. Any suggestions? Is the quick shuttle easier to deal with? Can't wait.......

Try National for a rental. I believe they have a lot right at the pier.

And I have to agree that Hilton Metrotown is in the burbs. Very nice hotel but about 20 minutes away in rush hour traffic. Easy to find though.

If you are out in Metrotown, then you might want to take the Skytrain (public transit). The Waterfront station is right next to Canada Place and it would take you right to Metrotown. To get to Amtrak, you could take the Skytrain from Metrotown to Main Street station the train station is across the street from this stop.

For more info see bctransit.com

Here's the link for Skytrain stations note Metrotown is in Burnaby, this link shows Vancouver stations select Burnaby from the drop down list to see Metrotown.

I realized we really shouldn't have rush hour traffic, since we will be there on a Sunday. We will be leaving to Seattle on Monday morning on the Amtrak. So I am really happy to know about the skytrains. I think we might as well rent the car in metrotown if we can take the skytrain from the waterfront station. Then we can return the car back at Metrotown, and then take the skytrain to the Amtrak! I love cruisecritic!
