Ok, think I am ready for my cruise! I leave in a few days and have done all my research and worrying and now ready to kick back and have a ball - the lists have done their thing and my biggest worry will be which wine - red or white?

Thank you so much for all the information I have gleaned from CC. Tuggers - thanks for that hint about the 2 glass bottle of Souve to be had at the pool bar. Forecastle thank you for always keeping in touch with our thread and giving us much appreciated information. Thanks Nemnita (I know I misspelled it, sorry) for helping me understand why there are so many different impressions of the same exact cruise - some love it and some hate it. Benita and Chex and Gino - thanks so much for all the pictures you posted of people having a wonderful time. IMO (another thing I learned) pictures of pax :D having a ball by far outweigh the people who write in here that it was soooo boring and there was nothing at all to do. At the same time I know which areas of the ship I can go to have a little quiet time.

As far as food is concerned I know it is subjective, but I am cruising on an Italian line and expect the food and service to lean that way. MSC is introducing to Americans a different, not wrong type of cruise, and not coming into the American mass market and changing their ways just for us. I am also aware there will be other foods offered besides pasta. I will be bringing a large insulated mug - think they still have the small ones at the buffet. Since I use a cane or walker I will probably use the dining room for most of my meals - but will not miss the pizza!

Am aware that the bathroom may be a bit tricky - will try the shower curtain open if it gets too difficult. But I know storage and closet space is very good - including the safe behind the mirror. Planning on morning coffee on the balcony (free room service, but will tip)!

Will be nice to everyone I meet - staff and fellow cruisers - I agree with Benita about catching more flies with honey. Until I retired I spent over 30 years in customer service working front line not management and my attitude is the only way to get good custumer service is to be a good customer - period.

Speaking about catching things - I plan on washing my hands often and using all precautions to keep from getting sick.

I know nothing is perfect and I don’t expect it to be. A large part of this cruise and my enjoyment of it depends on me and I plan on having a wonderful time.

I shall return and hope to give an honest review both positive and the not so perfect.

BTW - I was discussing it with my roomie and I really do think that they give full refunds in the case of rain, no ice tea, lousy machines in the casino and the absence of anchovy pizza’s - am I right:rolleyes: ?
