eguiney Posted April 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2004 Will be in St. Thomas in little over a week. Had originally book a dive with Chris Sawyer but just found out our ship will either anchor or dock at the Crown bay terminal and Sawyer had warned me that if that was the case I would not have time to make it to their shop. When I called to cancel the reservation the folks at Chris Sawyer's recommended I try Blue Island Divers. I dove Coki Beach last fall and wanted to do a boat dive this time. Does anyone have experience with Blue Island? brucejr Posted April 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2004 I usually trust the recommendation from a dive shop. If they can't accomodate you, they loose nothing by making a recommendation for an alternate shop to use. Chris Sawyer has a good reputation and I can't see them steering you wrong. I haven't gone with admiraltydive.com/, but they were willing to work with me on picking me up from the cruise dock. You ight contact them to see if they have room for you. They are a smaller operator with a 6 pack boat.
Orcrone Posted April 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2004 eguiney, I'm going to be in St. Martin this fall and was wondering how the dive was at Coki Beach. I assume you did the beach dive.
eguiney Posted April 5, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted April 5, 2004 orcrone Coki Beach was a nice dive - not great but nice. I got lucky and it was just me and the divemaster Laura. Saw a couple of moray's, rays, a turtle, star fish, and a lot of little fish. there are two reefs - east and west. Depth is about 40-50 feet, good visability, and with a modeerate current that was not bad at all. This was my 7th and 8th dive in 5 days over 4 islands, so a relaxed easy going beach dive was welcomed. It was well worht the money 04/09/2004 on the Sun Princess 10/03/2004 on The Rhapsody of the Seas 10/12/03 Sun Princess 9/29/02 Rhapsody of the Seas 5/20/01 Carnival Inspiration 9/10/00 Norweign Sea

debsea Posted December 11, 2004 #7 Share Posted December 11, 2004 We are going with Admiralty Dive Center on January 8th. When I called to book, they were able to tell me that the Zaandam would be docking at Crown Bay, and that's where they will pick us up.
