Crusin-Suzan Posted January 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2007 Does any one know of a private tour for either of these cities in Brazil. Leaving April 5 on the Rotterdam. Thanks
br_luv2travl Posted January 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2007 When I was there a couple of years ago, we got into the Stern (jewellers) minivan and at their shop, they got us a taxi and we toured Olinda/Recife for $25 pp (there were 4 of us). Went where the large buses cannot go.

Splinter Posted February 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2007 You might want to check to see if either http://www.southstartours.com or http://www.portcompass.com can help you out. Call them (don't just look on their websites).
fluxtripper Posted January 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Cruising along the Brazilian coast in the Costa Favolosa (great ship and trip) Today stop in SALVADOR da Bahia We had a rendez-vous with Ivan Bahia Guide, who was awaiting us at the harbour-docks exit when we got off the ship. Ivan happens to perform an excellent, punctual and flexible guide service in Salvador He gladly adapted his panoramic city-tour of the city (by car) to our specific interests. To be recommended. By the way as we are a mixed couple French / Dutch, we were glad to perceive that this guide (being a belgian expat who migrated to Brazil a decade ago) also speaks fluently Dutch and French. Islandattorney Posted January 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2018 When I was there a couple of years ago, we got into the Stern (jewellers) minivan and at their shop, they got us a taxi and we toured Olinda/Recife for $25 pp (there were 4 of us). Went where the large buses cannot go. We also took that free shuttle cruise n Recife but did not tour...we just walked across the street, as far as I remember, to a big beach full of happy local folks with music playing and kites flying. We thought it was a great way to spend a day.
