Room Advice--Pride of Aloha

My fiance and I will be taking our honeymoon on the Pride of Aloha this summer. The agent I spoke to said she'd definitely recommend an oceanview room, but said we might not want a balcony since the ship is docked often.

We've never cruised before and I'd appreciate advice from anyone who's experienced the Aloha/America. We do want a space to retreat from everyone since we'll probably do group tours.

That being said, we're on a budget and if we're going to choose a balcony, is it best to wait for a possible upgrade or upsell?

Is a balcony worth an extra $750?

Thanks!

Not in my opinion. You'll be spending so much time on the islands I would book an oceanview or inside cabin. Usually if you book guarantee an oceanview any upgrade will be oceanview or balcony, if you book an inside any uprade will be an inside.

Therefore there is a chance if you book an oceanview you may end up with a balcony. That is if you book guarantee.
