azkitty Posted January 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2007  Can anyone tell me what we can expect to be open in B.A. on a Sunday? Are all or most stores open (not just the touristy type) and what about good restaurants? Are any of the finer restaurants open for lunch or a midday dinner? Thanks for speedy advice. We leave Feb. 8.
JoanVA Posted February 1, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2007 Apparently the big event on Sunday in BA is the antique market in San Telmo. It is an open air market with street performers.
Aussie Gal Posted February 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2007 If B.A. is anything like its European counterparts, most of the shops will be closed as Sunday in Europe is a day of rest. We haven't been in B.A. on a Sunday but I would expect most of the bigger shops to be closed and just the markets to be open. Jennie
shifty Posted February 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Many, but not all, shops on Florida Street are open.
JoanVA Posted February 2, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2007 There is also an open air antiques market in San Telmo all afternoon, including street performers.
