cruiseobsessed Posted February 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Does anyone know if the Glory has skim milk? Also, we're going on the Eastern route on July 21st. How hot will it be then? THanks in advance for answering!
rockwood84 Posted February 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2007 We did the Eastern route on the Triumph last July - I think we sailed on the 15th. It's hot, but not unbearable. When the boat is moving, there is usually a breeze. If you are by the pool, the deck boards do get pretty hot. My recommendation is to take flip-flops for walking from your lounge chair to the pool, and keep them under your chair, out of the sun. Alternatively, if you get a bucket of beer, they bring you a plastic bucket with ice, so you can get your feet wet before you walk to the pool.:D The islands you'll be visiting will also be pretty hot, but again, it's not unbearable. There is usually a breeze blowing, and the islands aren't very big, so you are usually not far from the ocean. If you are an indoors-activity person, Carnival keeps the indoor areas very cool and comfortable. And there are plenty of activities going on indoors on the days at sea (bingo, art auctions, trivia contests, jewelry sales, the casino, etc.) so if you want to "cool off" you won't be bored. Have a great trip!
serene56 Posted February 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2007 you will find skim milk in half pint containers at the buffet-- room service or in the dining room. Weather in July will be HOT and HUMID.. VERY hot and humid.
Hogladyrider Posted February 3, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2007 As a resident of Florida, I can say it will be HOT HOT HOT and HUMID HUMID HUMID in July cruising so be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen, a hat and some sunburn relief items, like pure aloe. Of course everyone's definition of hot is different so it really depends where you live. No matter what time of year you cruise the decks are HOT on bare feet, burning hot. We sailed Jan 20th and I found it hot laying on deck and would often dip under the shower to cool off so its all a person thing.
