Wine Cards

I have been reading conflicting answers to this question.

 

Can wine cards be used in any of the bars and casino or just in the main dining room?

 

I am asking specifically about the Zuiderdam, but I'm sure the answer will apply to all HAL ships.

Can you explain more about the wine card? Have taken quite a few cruises but not on HAL, and have never heard of this. Thanks

The wife and I were on the Zuiderdam last week and had a 10 glass wine card. We used the card at several locations including the Main Dining room and Pinnacle Grill. The waiters would take our order and the card and return with our wine and our card punched. We never ran into a problem or anyone who wasn't aware of the card. The only difference I noticed between wine ordered with the card and wine charged to my ship account is that that I thought I received more wine in my glass when I had it charge to my ship account. Just my observation and it was probably influenced by the number of drinks I had.
