does it matter who is cd?

ive seen a lot of threads on who is the cd of which ship and when, is there any one cd better than the other? whats the story with this? or am i missing out on something?

Some people really enjoy the experience of having a particular CD. As for me, I wouldn't base booking a cruise on it. I do, however, enjoy knowing who is going to be on the ship, as I can kind of get a feel for the energy level and mood that will be set by the particular CD.

Just returned from the Mariner of the Seas, our 25th cruise, which was one of the most enjoyable Caribbean cruises we have taken and some of the credit for "enjoyable" must go to Becky, the most fabulous cruise director we have experienced on an cruise line. The activities she is part of were such fun! We will go out of our way to book another cruise that she is on in the future...Now doesn't that say it all?!!

We don't book based on the CD, but there are some we like better than others. If it's one that we like, we know the cruise will be more enjoyable.

There are a couple that if they're the CD on a ship, we won't book that one.

We are also the type of cruiser that will lean more toward fun cruise directors. However, price wins over CD, and if the deal is too good to pass up, then we'll go anyway and make our own fun :)

A CD doesnt hinder or enhance our decision for a cruise. We're about...ports, ship , cost.... We didnt really notice a big difference in them. They are all funny and seem good at what they do. The activities all seem to be about the same.
