Brilliance Dining Hours

Recommended Posts

I think I lost a thread here, although that doesn't seem too unusual these days.

Someone was complaining about how the dining hours have been ruined on the Brilliance Med cruises.

My question is: If there are 4 different dining times, do they seat you as they do in the breakfast and lunch times? That is, you get the next available seats and servers. Or, do you have 4 dining times, but you get the same table, servers and tablemates every night?

Thanks.

Dinner seating and waiters don't change. You still get the same table, tablemates and waiters. The dining room is on 2 floors. the first early and first late are on the lower dining floor and the first late and second late are on the upper level. Assume you have the first late seating (9:00). When you start your dinner the upper level will be empty and they will be prepaing it for the 2nd late seating. At 9:30 (while you are eating your soup) the people will begin to come in upstairs. Unless you look UP, you'll never know the difference.

There are 4 dining times on Brilliance in the Med for Dinner. Deck 4 is 6.30 and 9.00 and Deck 5 is 7.00 and 9.30. If you have been allocatedfor example, 1st seating then you are either Deck 4 (6,30) OR 5 (7.00) but you will not know which time until you get your Sea Pass card at check-in. If you want to change you will need to see the Maitre'd or if you are checking in early there is a desk at check-in to visit for such changes.

The dining hours in the dinning room on the Brillance is only for the Dinner meal.

The first seating in at 6:30 on Deck 4 and at 7:00PM on Deck 5. The second seating on Deck 4 is at 9:00PM and on deck #5 it is at 10:00PM .

Ypou sit at the same table and have the same dining room staff, only for dinner.

Breakfast and lunch are all open seatings and you sit at any table that is open with a completely different staff.

When we sailed on BOS in the end of May 2004 in the Med .The late ,late seating was 9.30pm . Has it changed again  .We are sailing on this ship in October again and we thought 9.30pm was way tooooooooooo late even for us in the UK .

The second late seating is at 9:30. However, I understand the times will revert to two seatings once they return to the US.

btw - We had no problems with the 4 seatings. You can just ask to be changed to the one that suits you. We were lucky. We were at the 7PM seating and that was exactly what we wanted.
