Parking at Port Everglades

On a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in 2005, we used Park & Fly to park our car and it worked out fine. Next month we will again be cruising out of Port Everglades on Princess, but time will be more of a factor. Would the Northport Parking Garage be faster at getting out? Can you easily walk to and from the Terminal when using the garage or is a shuttle necessary? Any experienced parkers out there? Thanks in advance for any advice.

If your Princess ship departs from Terminal 2 or 4 the Northport Parking Garage is right next to the terminals and an easy walk. Parking is $12 per day. The other garage, Midport, is relatively handy for Terminals 19 and up - also $12 per day. Sometimes the ships depart from #2 or #4 and return to one of the other terminals - esp. on crowded days (Sat & Sun). Then you will need to us the shuttle bus provided between the garages - it can get crowded. You might want to contact the Port Authorities a week or so before you sail to determine what terminal(s) will be used by your ship. This information is also available at http://www.broward.org/port but usually is only up to date a day or two before sailing.

It takes a very rare event for Princess not to be at terminal 2..even on the most busy days. Unlike the mid port garage, the northport garage really only has to handle one huge ship...but even if for some reason you ended up parking mid port, the shuttles run and you are not going to have a problem.

www.cruisecal.com is very up to date to tell you what ships will be in port with you...

The Broward County ship calendar is here:

We have sailed out of there on the busiest of days and never had a problem.
